Meeting with Minister Conor Lenihan

Mark and Jillian had a brief meeting with Conor Lenihan, Minister for Integration. In spite of a busy schedule Minister Lenihan took time to learn more about the Melanoma Trust.
Mark and Jillian handed over the Melanoma Trust’s mission statement with some background information and facts about the trust. Minister Lenihan was interested in the both the fight to regulate sunbeds and the initiative to raise awareness of the dangers of melanoma and was shocked by some of the statistics, in particular those around the use of sunbeds.
The Minister was open to helping the Melanoma Trust make further contact with the Government and Department of Health. He asked to be kept up to date with any plans for publicity and upcoming events.
